Where a source link is provided with an item, the source governs over our summary of it.

Comments and other material submitted by readers are the sole responsibility of the person who submitted them, do not represent our views, and are not advice. Do not post personal financial information, account numbers, or Social Security numbers. We do not pre-screen submissions and do not warrant their accuracy.

We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to remove, edit, or refuse any submission for any reason. Submissions promoting securities, offering investment returns, soliciting money, or containing referral or affiliate links will be removed. By submitting material you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to publish it in connection with the Site.

11. Advertising, affiliate and conflict disclosure

As of the effective date, the Site carries no advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links, and we receive no compensation from any financial institution, product or service mentioned. If that changes, every page carrying a paid placement or affiliate link will say so where the link appears, and paid placements will never appear in news stories.

Contributors must disclose any material financial interest in a company, security or product they write about.

12. How this site is produced

Content on the Site is researched and drafted with the assistance of automated tools and is reviewed before publication. Automated systems can misstate, omit, or misdate information. Each item lists the sources it was drawn from so that you can check it, and errors are corrected with a dated note rather than silently.

13. Fraud and emergencies

THIS SITE IS NOT AN EMERGENCY OR FRAUD-REPORTING SERVICE. If you believe you are the victim of fraud or identity theft, contact your bank or card issuer immediately and report it to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or IdentityTheft.gov, and to local law enforcement where appropriate. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be so modified, severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede all prior understandings on that subject.
